From Khao San Road

Only about 6km from Khao San Road to Pratunam Market, so it can be done in a taxi. But also there is a bus for this route which is very convenient.  Bus 183 on Ratchadamoen Klang can take you directly there. Get off the bus on Phetchaburi Road outside the IT City / Panthip Computer Plaza building on your right, with the big blue walkway over the road.

Walk forward until you have gone under the walkway and take the turning on the left, it will be Phetchaburi  Soi 17.  The sign says "Phetchaburi 17, So Som Prasong 4".  Take this small lane until it ends and you can see boutiques, turn right and walk into Ratchaprarop for the rest of the market area.

From Bangkok Don Muang Airport

It is best to take a taxi from the airpot as it is over 21 km from the Bangkok Airport to the Pratunam Market, and with busy traffic it will still take more than half an hour. However for more economical it is also possible to use the bus.  There is a bus 187 which will leave from the airport and go very close to the market.

The bus leaves from Don Muang railway station, so follow sign to railway from within the Airport. You need bus 187 towards Tha Si Phraya, but get off the bus at Soi Ko Lit.  Then it is walking from here, it is still a medium distance way to the market, more than 900 meters.  It is easiest to take a taxi for this last short piece of the trip.

Another way is to use the Airport Link train, which can take you from the Don Muang Airport to the Airport Link Ratchaparok station.

From Sukhumvit

If you are on Sukhumvit then use the BTS train to go to the Phaya Thai BTS Station‎, this is the closest station to the market. But from here the way is a bit complex so ask a taxi to take you to the Market or to the Baiyoke Sky Hotel.

Bobae Market in Rattanakosin

Bobae Market which is a sister to Pratunam! While Pratunam is the premier wholesale garment market in Bangkok Bobae has many interesting things as well.

Similar discount garment shops, but much more outdoor stalls are to be found at Bo Bae. Located on Krung Kasem Road look for the Bridges.

Bobae Tower building is where more shops are located, here small quantities are welcomed but much of the business is for Russian buyers. Both Market and the Tower open early in the morning, by 6am, but also closed by 6pm. There is no night market at Bo Bae Market.
